Discover Ecuador through its food and art!

We are bringing together food and art for a lovely evening of exploration and creativity.

Two ways to experience the evening.
Both are designed to be something special.

On Friday, September 25, Canvas & Coffee transforms for MTAZAMO: A Gallery Dinner Experience — an immersive evening inspired by Kenya, where photography, food, coffee, music, art, and community come together under one roof.

Move through Xavier Tramaine’s photography exhibition. Taste Kenyan coffee. Gather around a Kenyan-inspired dinner. Listen to Afro Jazz give way to Afro House and Afrobeats. Sip, dance, create, and experience an evening unlike anything we’ve done before.

Come for the gallery. Stay for the experience.

This September, we’re honored to partner with BeholdBeGold for a special Paint for a Purpose fundraiser in support of childhood cancer survivors.

Join us for a relaxed, self-guided painting experience where creativity and community come together. Whether you’ve been painting for years or are picking up a brush for the very first time, everyone is welcome. We’ll provide the canvas, paints, brushes, and inspiration—you simply create at your own pace.

Choose the session that works best for you:

• Session One: 2:00–4:00 PM

• Session Two: 5:00–7:00 PM

This is a free-form painting experience, giving you the freedom to create something that’s uniquely yours.

Our cafe will be open throughout both sessions with coffee, specialty drinks, pastries, and light bites available for purchase.

Fifty percent of every ticket purchased will support BeholdBeGold, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering childhood cancer survivors through advocacy, education, resources, and meaningful community connection.

We hope you’ll join us for an afternoon or evening of creativity, connection, and purpose.

Come grab a coffee, tea, or a wine and join us for an evening of curated and affordable recycled clothes shopping!

You’ll have the space and supplies to paint a loose watercolor background and if you’d like, add a love letter to yourself right on top of your painting, anything from affirmations to gratitude to whatever feels right in the moment.

This session draws on alchemical symbolism, creative exploration, and insights from neuroscience to reflect on authenticity and potential. Using images of chaos, balance, and integration, we’ll explore how opposing aspects of ourselves can be held together through a guided painting practice.

Patrick Knicely, LPC will guide the evening through story and reflection, weaving together symbolism and psychology in a grounded way.

This is a reflective session, part storytelling, part active imagination, part creative exploration. Participants will leave with a finished painting and a deeper understanding of how inner opposites can be integrated in support of the authentic self.
